Programme Description

This is a fun fitness activity planned, by a group of passionate volunteers, for the elderly under the care of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (THK SAC @ Bukit Merah View).

Activity is usually conducted twice a month, on a Saturday and hence volunteers are invited to join in the fun by engaging/assisting the elderly in the exercise. We hope to spread joy and cheer through this one-hour programme, relieving them of social isolation and to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Jacqueline shares how the internet has helped the group further its cause, “The internet has helped us to reach out to a wider group of audience and bring awareness of our initiative to the bigger community. We have several people who contacted us to volunteer, after knowing about us through social media. The social media has been a good and easy channel of communication, bridging us with the public.”

Fun games with seniors - 24 Oct 2015

We did not conduct our usual exercise activity

Instead we played games indoor with seniors due to the haze..

Strenuous activity will not continue should the haze continues above the unhealthy range.

It's our responsibility to take care of ourselves. 

Friends, please drink lots of water and do wear a mask when outdoor. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
